Job Summary

Lake Region Union High School is seeking a Secondary English teacher with a passion for English who is experienced with the NGSS Framework for building and implementing inquiry-based learning opportunities. Assignments would include teaching sophomore English along with additional electives dependent on candidate qualifications. Looking for someone with a willingness to take on the challenge of working with a diversity of learners at various academic levels. Expectations include engaging and collaborating with a five person department and sharing classroom spaces and resources while navigating both proficiency-based and traditional grading platforms in a 90 minute x 90 day block Orleans Central Supervisory Union is comprised of two school districts (Lake Region Union Elementary-Middle School and Lake Region Union High School) supporting six K-8 elementary schools the Orleans Central Early Childhood Program and Lake Region Union High Central Supervisory Union is located in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom which is known for scenic and rugged area of hills sugarbushes farmland and lakes.
