Blank Childrens Hospital
Blank Childrens Hospital a service of UnityPoint Health - Des Moines is completelydedicated to meeting the unique health care needs of children. Blank Childrens is a 108-bed environment that embraces and encourages families to be a part of their childs healing and recovery. Everything from equipment to decor is designed specifically for children.
General
- 28000 patient visits/year
- Certified Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Fully dedicated Peds ED with Pediatric Transport
- Serves as the primary PED teaching site for pediatric and family practice residents as well as medical students
- 24/7 PEM coverage with 29 shift hours of double and triple coverage
- Full integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC
Responsibilities
- Staff the Blank Pediatric Emergency Department in primary 8 hour shifts providing 1392- 1656 shift hours of coverage each calendar year
- Shift hours vary by certification
- Pediatric Emergency Med Physician General Pediatrician or Emergency Medicine Physician with Pediatric interest
- Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
- Evaluates interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
- Patient-focused friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
