Job Summary
Job Title: RN Cardiovascular Surgery (with $7500 Completion Bonus)
Location: Alexandria LA
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks (91 days)
Shift: 58 Days
Pay: $2640/week (plus $2500 completion bonus per contract up to $7500 after three contracts)
Requirements
Licensure: Active RN License in the state of employment or compact state
Certifications: BLS required
Experience: Minimum 1 year in the related nursing specialty
Responsibilities
Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients in compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Monitor and assess patient conditions recognizing and responding to complications promptly.
Administer medications and manage postoperative care according to physician instructions.
Assist in preoperative and postoperative patient education and discharge planning.
Collaborate with physicians surgical teams and support staff to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Document care activities accurately and efficiently within the facilitys EMR system.
Preferred Skills
Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
Effective communication and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams
Experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic post-surgical units preferred
Familiarity with advanced monitoring systems and post-surgical care protocols
