CHH2 OCU provides care to adolescent through geriatric patients ranging from 14-100 who have a variety of diagnoses which require surgical interventions and recovery for Red/Green/Gold/Blue Surgery Ear/Nose/Throat (ENT) Orthopedics Neurosurgery Plastics Urology Gynecology Electrophysiology (EP)/Cardiac Catheterization (Cath)/Interventional Radiology (IR) Urogynecology Oculoplastic Vascular and Ophthalmology.

The OCU/ CHH Peri anesthesia Cross Trained Nurse

5.5 Cross-Trained Position. A Cross-Trained Position is a nursing position that nurses may apply and be hired into or transfer into that requires the nurse to work in two related units as part of their FTE requirement. Nurses who are cross-trained and work in two units do not count as floating. The Employer shall provide orientation pursuant to Section 7.15.

must meet the following requirements.

• Two years of experience in post-surgical care in a high-level acuity medical facility. Or one year ICU/ PACU/ Emergency Department experience
• BSN Graduates: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) 30 days before start date.
• ADN Graduates: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program 30 days before the start date.
• Associate degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire
• Current unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License
• BLS from AHA required. New hires will be enrolled and required to complete during orientation.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation

• Clinical experience caring for post-surgical patients as an RN student or other capacity.
• Certified in Medical-Surgical Nursing or Perianesthesia Nursing is preferred
• BSN is preferred.
• Experience in a high-level acuity medical facility.

Length of Orientation Experienced Nurse

• External candidates: OHSU & Nursing New Employee Orientation (NEO) for about a week.
• Either Transition to Practice (TTP) Program Specialty Fellowship/Fellowship Learning Pathway or Orientation experience for 3 days-26 weeks depending on the care area. An employment service agreement may apply.
