Job Summary

Primary Grade Teacher
St. Peter Catholic School Kirkwood MO

St. Peter Catholic School is seeking a missiondriven studentcentered Primary Grade Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence faith formation and the development of the whole child in a warm and supportive Catholic school environment.

Position Summary
The Teacher is responsible for planning delivering and assessing highquality instruction aligned with St. Peters curriculum and educational standards. This role supports the spiritual academic and socialemotional growth of students fostering a safe and engaging classroom rooted in Catholic values. Teachers collaborate with colleagues communicate regularly with families and participate in the broader life of the school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement effective daily lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Create a positive structured classroom environment that supports learning and student wellbeing
  • Integrate the teachings and values of the Catholic faith into daily instruction and classroom culture
  • Differentiate instruction to support students with varied strengths and learning styles
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative methods and provide timely feedback
  • Maintain accurate records gradebooks and communication logs
  • Collaborate with teammates support staff and administration in a professional learning community
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with families regarding student growth and classroom expectations
  • Participate in school events professional development and faithbased activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Education or a related field
  • Valid Missouri teaching certification or the ability to obtain certification
  • Prior teaching experience preferred but not required
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of St. Peter Parish
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students families and colleagues
  • Effective communication collaboration and problemsolving skills
