This is not an electrician role were after people who thrive in the outdoors enjoy physical work and want a hands-on job that keeps them moving.
What the Job Involves
- Climbing structures and working at heights
- Building maintaining and repairing transmission lines
- Working outdoors in all weather
- Staying away from home regularly as part of the crew
- Taking on physical technical and team-based work in remote environments
- Learning specialist tools safety systems and industry techniques
- Every week will look different new sites new views new challenges.
What Were Looking For
You dont need previous line experience just the right attitude. People often come from backgrounds like:
- Construction
- Building
- Scaffolding
- Working at heights
- General labour or outdoor industries
And youll also need:
- Genuine interest in transmission line work (bonus if youve looked into it!)
- High level of physical fitness
- Comfortable with heights and climbing
- Willing to work away from home frequently
- Strong safety mindset
- Reliable and ready to learn
- Restricted licence is fine ideally close to getting your full
