What Youll Do
As a Planner youll advance active transportation projectsbiking walking and micromobilityacross Michigan and beyond collaborating with national leaders in the field. Our work includes multimodal corridor studies Active Transportation and Vision Zero plans Safe Routes to School trails and greenways wayfinding and Complete Streets initiatives all grounded in equity.
Working within interdisciplinary teams youll apply strong urban design and technical skills to bring project visions to lifedeveloping concept plans streetscape ideas 2D/3D visuals mapping and graphics and supporting design documentation. Youll also contribute through data analysis community engagement field work plan writing and stakeholder coordination to create safer more vibrant public spaces.

Work Schedule for an Urban Planner
This position works a hybrid schedule in Ann Arbor that requires occasional in person workdays with the Michigan team and in person attendance at client meetings and public engagement activities as needed. Toole Design will provide employees with the necessary equipment to work from home.
