Job Purpose:
To assist in the handling and processing of Insurance Claims from first notification to settlement on new unregistered motor vehicles from source through to final destination.
Adhere to service standards to promote the good reputation of Tokio Marine Group for claim settlement including but not limited to:
1. Collect all information required to effectively handle a claim
2. Appoint appropriate experts and analyse specialist external reports
3. Ensure SLAs are maintained
Comply with internal service standards internal legal and regulatory codes including but not limited to:
1. Register claims in a timely manner onto VITAL and GENIUS for TMKI policy.
2. Assess reserves in accordance with company reserving philosophy and maintain adequacies by periodical claim reviews in accordance with internal service standards.
3. Comply with TMCSE information security rule based on TMNF/TMKI requirements.
Controlling TMCSE London processing / general administration duties
Key Responsibilities:
The role includes responsibility for:
Receive notification of claims
Acknowledge and provide necessary explanation on basic claim procedure to customers
Set up claim files and allocate claim numbers
Obtain underwriting files for Claims Adjusters
Preparation of standard letters
Maintain and update claims data on GENIUS and VITAL to produce a report
Prepare and submit loss advice payment requests
Prepare cheque / bank requisitions for release by GENIUS
Process Co-Insurance Payments / Recoveries
Assist Senior Claims Supervisor for preparing necessary statistical claims data by using Microsoft Excel.
Champion the company values and work in accordance with the organisational behaviours
To be aware of and comply with the relevant rules and regulations in relation to financial crime and conduct
In addition to the above the job holder will also be expected to assist General Manager Senior Claims Supervisor and (Senior) Claims Adjusters with various aspects of claims coordination adjustment negotiation and settlement and to actively contribute to TMCSE general administrative and departmental duties participate in surveys projects or work groups as and when required.
Skills and Experience Specification:
Essential:
Automotive skills to be able to understand repair estimations smart repair cold repair spot repair and knowledge of Thatcham estimating would be advantageous
Proper skill of data processing to ensure the accurate claims data on IT system. GENIUS basic processing experiences are desirable.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential. Advanced Excel skills are desirable.
Sound foundation in literacy and numeracy: proper skills of business writing (letter fax e-mail etc.) to communicate with customers & business partners professionally are essential.
