Joining Oakwood Village as a Development and Donor Relations Intern you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting campus leadership and learning about the daily operations of a mission-driven senior living community. This internship includes both administrative support for Oakwood Foundations fundraising and grants program and the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful special project that supports campus priorities and organizational effectiveness.
This position reports to the Chief Development Officer.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Not intended to be an all inclusive list)
- Executive & Administrative Support:
o Provides administrative support to Oakwood Foundation leadershipwith data management coordination and general office tasks.
o Assists with preparation of materials for meetings reports and leadership initiatives.
o Supports day-to-day administrative needs of the Oakwood Foundationteam. - Special Project Support:
o Assists with a Foundation with a meaningful special project assigned by the Chief Development Officer.
o Provides support with research organization documentation and follow-through related to the project. - Event and Initiative Coordination:
o Helps support planning and coordination of Foundation donor appreciation events and activities.
o Assists with logistics communication and follow-up as needed. - General Office and Team Support:
o Collaborates with multiple departments to support campus operations.
o Performs additional administrative duties and data entry as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- This internship is open to current Undergraduate or Graduate students.
Studying Healthcare Administration Business Administration Human Resources Communications or a related field preferred.
Strong professionalism and ability to interact respectfully with staff residents families and community partners.
Requires a customer service or hospitality orientation with empathy and discretion.
High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills required.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality in a professional setting.
This internship will last from 812 weeks depending on the availability of the intern. This position may work at either or both Oakwood campuses located in Madison.
