Job Summary

The City of Lenexas Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for part-time year-round Activities Attendant for our state-of-the-art Rec Center.

Position Summary:

The Activities Attendant assists with birthday parties events and open gym activities at our recreation center. Under the guidance of the Assistant Recreation Center Manager this role ensures a fun safe and well-maintained environment for participants of all ages.

Schedule:

This position primarily requires evening and weekend availability with a focus on Friday evenings Saturdays and Sundays from approximately 10 AM to 6 PM. Occasional weekday shifts may be scheduled as needed. Total hours will average 1015 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and supervise birthday parties events and open gym activities.
Set up clean and prepare event spaces including arranging tables and equipment.
Ensure the facility is safe clean and welcoming for all guests.
Monitor and enforce facility rules while providing excellent customer service.
Complete necessary reports and documentation.
Administer First Aid/CPR if needed (training provided).
Work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 16 years old.
Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 60 days of hire.

The rate of pay is $15.50 per hour.

Physical and Environmental Factors: This is an active role in a fast-paced recreation center environment. Must have the ability to lift and move event-related supplies as needed. Requires standing sitting and engaging with guests for extended periods.

Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screen. A background check is required for applicants aged 18 or older.
