Summary:
Redwire Space Solutionshas an opportunity for an AssociateSystems Engineerat our Longmont CO this role you willbe responsible fordeveloping system architectures designing new systems and guiding them through the entire development lifecycle. You willinterface withcustomers subcontractors and project teams to drive the technical development of hardware systems. Key responsibilities include developing requirement architectures integrated test planning technical performance measurement and lifecycle baseline management. You will be supported by an experienced Systems team and collaborate with talented engineers across a wide range of disciplines.
As part of a diverse and dedicated team of engineers technicians and specialists you will help developcutting-edgehardware solutions. Many projects are highly innovative with short development cycles allowing you to see the results of your design work quickly. You willleverageyour systems engineeringexpertiseto help the team create advanced RF systems and deliver groundbreaking solutions.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design assembly and test of space or air-based hardware systems.
- Ensure the delivered hardware meets internal and external stakeholder expectations and requirements.
- Foster trust respect and an inclusive team culture with colleagues and customers.
- Help generate products for gated design and operational reviews.
- Collaborate with customers to develop and refine the Concept of Operations.
- Develop review and assess verification artifacts such as test plans requirement verification matrices test reports analysis reports inspection reports and help provide input on the appropriateness to the system goals.
- Act as a creative problem solver between multiple and sometimes conflicting interestsin order tomake sure the systemas a whole isoptimized while ensuring internal and external stakeholders needs are being represented.
- Dynamically work with interdisciplinary teams and have the desire and ability to learn new systems.
- Support senior engineers in developing architectures based on customer requirements.
Ideal Experience
- Bachelors degreein Electrical Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent); a masters degree may substitute for two years of experience.
- 2 yearsof experience designing and manufacturing hardware systems ideally for space or air-based platforms.
- Experience developingRF hardwareor aerospace hardware systems.
- Proficiencywith systems engineering tools such asJamaDOORS orother requirements management methods.
- Familiarity with modern systems engineering and integration tools and methodologies.
- Strong communicationskills with proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and coordinate complex tasks.
Desired Skills
- Experience performing space andairborne platform system-level analysis and presenting technical reviews (SRR PDR CDR MRR TRR etc.).
- Hands-on experience developing flight hardware with knowledge of space and airborne design best practices.
- Proven ability to work with customers to manage expectations and project scope.
- Skilled in collaborating with subcontractors to define and refine subsystem requirements.
- Familiarity with creating technical work plans for new or ongoing product development including resource estimation.
- Strongbig-picture mindsetwith the ability tomaintainand communicate a clear technical vision of theend product.

Pay Range
$80000 - $100000/year
How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)
Redwiredetermines pay for positions using local national and industry-specific survey data for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicants level of experience education and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally we consider the external market rate the amount we have budgeted internally and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will be considered for higher pay.
