    Title:Associate Superintendent of Teaching and Learning

    Salary: $165000 (Based on experienceeducationetc.)

    Qualifications:

    1. Masters Degree in School Administration/Curriculum (preference given to terminal degree)
    2. Valid evaluators certification
    3. Four years of administrative experience
    4. Leadership skills
    5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.



    Reports to: Superintendent

    Supervises: Staff members designated by the superintendent.

    Job Goal:To assist the superintendent in engaging all students in learning a challenging curriculum delivered through quality instruction through oversight of the education program of the district.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Leadership and Strategic Oversight:
    • Provide visionary leadership to foster excellence in the Teaching and Learning Instructional Program ensuring that it meets the diverse needs of all students.
    • Oversee the development and consistent execution of the districts educational priorities driving the achievement of academic goals across all schools.
    • Curriculum and Instruction Coordination:
    • Coordinate and articulate the total instructional program enhancing curriculum coherence and alignment across the district.
    • Lead a systematic process for curriculum renewal and revision ensuring that educational content remains challenging and relevant.
    • Oversee the selection acquisition and equitable distribution of instructional materials to all schools within the district.
    • Professional Development and Support:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive professional development program tailored to the needs of all certified staff focusing on continuous improvement in instructional practices.
    • Support and empower teacher leaders including instructional coaches and model teachers to effectively execute the districts educational objectives.
    • Collaboration and Team Guidance:
    • Facilitate collaboration among Building Leadership Teams to support curricular and instructional decisions that align with district goals.
    • Guide and support school teams in the design and implementation of targeted school improvement plans.
    • Program Integration and Compliance:
    • Ensure the integration and effective management of student services programs including but not limited to Title I Special Education and Gifted and Talented.
    • Coordinate the administration of state and federally mandated assessments and oversee compliance with all related regulations.
    • Financial and Resource Management:
    • Maintain fiscal responsibility within the Curriculum and Instruction Division optimizing budget allocations to maximize educational outcomes.
    • Explore and implement innovative financing strategies including grants and partnerships to supplement district funding.
    • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Oversee the collection analysis and reporting of educational data to inform strategic decision-making and fulfill state reporting requirements.
    • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
    • Maintain and enhance public relations efforts ensuring clear effective communication between the district and its stakeholders.
    • Attend school board meetings as necessary providing updates and gaining insights to align district policies with community expectations.
    • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Assume additional duties as assigned by the superintendent adapting to emerging needs and strategic priorities of the district.



    Terms of Employment:
    1. Employed on a twelve-month basis.
