Job Summary
Join our team at Buddy Brew Coffee a specialty coffee company and become a key player in delivering exceptional coffee experiences to our guests. We are currently seeking a passionate and customer-focused individual to fill the position of Barista.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly as they enter the cafe
- Guide guests through our diverse drink and food menu answering any questions they may have
- Take orders with careful attention to details such as coffee blend preferences dairy choices and sugar requirements
- Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages following Buddy Brew Coffee recipes
- Serve beverages in a high-quality and presentable manner
- Handle cash transactions and process credit card payments accurately
- Maintain a clean organized and well-stocked work station
- Ensure stock levels of ceramic cutlery and paper goods are adequate
- Regularly check and maintain brewing equipment reporting any issues in the shift report
- Adhere to local health and safety regulations
- Communicate guest feedback to managers for continuous improvement
- Actively suggest menu additions or alterations based on customer preferences
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Previous work experience in the Food/Beverage industry
- Barista experience is preferred but not required
- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations
- Food Handlers certification in Florida (or ability to become certified within 90 days)
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Ability to understand and respond to guest preferences
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in close proximity with others in a cooperative manner
