Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Flatbed / Rotary Screen Press Operator to join our team in the production of secure documents for clients around the world. This unionized role involves operating various silkscreen and related equipment in a fast-paced precision-driven environment. The ideal candidate will be fully trained detail-oriented and capable of working collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities
- Operate both Rotary and Flatbed screen equipment printing onto paper plastics films cards substrates or finished printed sheets.
- Perform machine setup and adjustments with precision and care.
- Loading unloading restacking and accurate counting of raw materials.
- Monitoring the quality and consistency of the product during the run to the reference standard or sign off sheet
- Handle chemicals and materials safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all mechanical electrical and electronic controls are in good working order clean and in adjustment prior to and after usage
- Document production activities and report any issues or irregularities.
- Collaborate with team members and management to meet production goals.
- Follow work instructions from various staff including co-workers and supervisors.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Fluent (speak read write) in English
- Able to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret level security clearance
- 5 years of Lead Operator experience on a screen printing press (e.g. SPS Flatbed Gallus Rotary)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer literacy and math skills
- Able to stand/walk for prolonged periods lift/carry up to 45 lbs. perform repetitive work
- Able to work all shifts and a reasonable amount of overtime if required
