Job Summary
R.W. Tomlinson is looking for an individual to fill a Portable Crushing Plant Operator position in the Materials Group.
Location:Various locations in the Ottawa area extending down the 401 corridors.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and operate the crushing plant.
Maintain maximum plant output.
Perform daily plant checks.
Recording production and downtime.
Recording preformed and required maintenance.
Clean around the plant using a skid steer and hand shovel when needed.
Ensure good housekeeping including keeping the tool trailer and MCC buildings clean organized and free of tripping hazards.
Make note of any defective safety equipment around the crushing plant and make sure it is tagged and discarded appropriately.
Check daily that guarding is in place.
Operate loader and rock truck when required.
Remain focused and diligent of plant operations.
Complete miscellaneous jobs assigned by the Quarry Foreman.
REQUIREMENTS
Availability to work flexible hours which may include working evenings nights and weekends.
Willing to work at other sites when required and out of the Ottawa area for prolonged periods.
Heavy equipment experience.
Ability to use power and hand tools.
Mechanically inclined.
