Join our small dynamic multidisciplinary team providing a district-wide service across HNELHD. Based at our Wallsend campus this position offers ease of access and free parking with the opportunity to work across a diverse and rewarding clinical landscape.

About The Role

This unique position supports the Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) service across the district. The role is varied and impactful with responsibilities including:

  • Dispensing and managing VAD medications
  • Coordinating patient care across acute and community settings
  • Travelling across the district to support patients in hospital at home or in residential aged care
  • Providing education to patients carers facilities and healthcare services
  • Collaborating with public and private hospitals aged care facilities private providers and like services across NSW

About You

We are seeking a highly capable and compassionate professional who demonstrates:

  • Proof of eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration agency Pharmacy
  • Exceptional communication skills particularly around death dying and conflict resolution
  • Emotional intelligence and reflective practice
  • Strong critical thinking and sound clinical judgement
  • Ability to manage competing demands in a rapidly changing environment
  • Resilience integrity and professionalism
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Adaptability in emotionally complex situations
