As Assistant Manager Store Operations you will be responsible for overseeing store processes across our retail concepts hybrid omnichannel walk-in and appointment-based models. You will ensure the accuracy speed and efficiency of inventory flow to maximize the customer experience at every touchpoint. You will contribute to seamless execution and delivery to uphold the SSENSE Montreal brand promise while identifying and resolving issues that may impact the customer journey. You will also coach your direct reports to improve performance and develop future leaders.
What You Will Do:
Strategic Inventory & Logistics Management: Orchestrate the entire in-store supply chain (inbound and outbound flows). Your goal is to maintain optimal stock density and efficient turnover by collaborating closely with key stakeholders.
Operational Performance Optimization: Act as the guardian of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). This involves translating operational data into actionable steps for the team while managing payroll budgets to maximize productivity without sacrificing service quality.
Leadership & Talent Development: A crucial part of your role involves team management. This covers the entire employee lifecycle: from recruitment and initial training to performance management continuous coaching and succession planning.
Compliance Safety & Asset Protection: Take responsibility for risk management. This includes the physical security of the store the accuracy of financial transactions the maintenance of security systems and strict adherence to occupational health and safety standards.
Customer Experience Excellence: Support the appointment-based sales model by facilitating processes and resolving issues to ensure a fluid customer journey from the initial greeting to after-sales service.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a high-volume customer-facing environment and retail operations.
Proven ability to lead coach and mentor employees to achieve their goals.
Demonstrated experience in building trusting relationships within a multichannel environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in French.
Physical ability to lift heavy boxes (up to 15kg).
Schedule flexibility including weekends mornings and evenings to meet the operational needs of the business.
