As an External Maintenance Project Manager youll take the lead on all aspects of base maintenance checks performed by external Aircraft Maintenance Organisations (AMOs) for the QantasLink and NJS fleets. Acting as the primary point of contact for each maintenance event youll ensure all activities are executed safely compliantly and efficiently while achieving strong operational technical and commercial outcomes.
Youll work closely with AMOs OEMs Engineering Supply Chain and internal stakeholders to confirm readiness manage production progress validate costs and oversee compliance throughout the event. Youll influence schedules manage critical path activities identify improvement opportunities and ensure a seamless return to service for each aircraft.
Youll have:
- 10 years airline experience with strong knowledge of operations maintenance compliance and commercial frameworks
- MBA Engineering Degree or significant LAME base maintenance experience
- Strong project management capability and the ability to drive complex maintenance events to completion.
- Sound understanding of aircraft line and base maintenance operations as well as planning processes.
- Proven analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong negotiation and influencing capability when engaging AMOs and key suppliers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead outcomes in a highpressure environment while working autonomously.
- Strong business acumen including experience assessing quotations contracts and commercial impacts.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A commitment to continuous improvement safety leadership and delivering valuedriven maintenance outcomes.
