As a Bilingual Medical Office Assistant youll:
- Provide excellent customer service to our patients at our East Baltimore Medical Center Adult Medicine in partnership with Baltimore Medical System another local health system that provides much-needed healthcare services to the community.
- Receive incoming and make outbound telephone calls to schedule appointments process patient medication refills process referrals and take messages for the providers.
- Check patients in and out.
- Verify insurance and collect demographics.
What Youll Need to be Successful:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 years experience in healthcare or customer service preferred.
- EPIC experience is very helpful!
- Bilingual in Spanish & English required!
- Ability to successfully pass all required training to obtain security access to perform role. Includes but not limited to: Electronic medical record training Insurance training-foundations government and commercial.
Salary Range: Minimum 17.37/hour - Maximum 28.68/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
