Job Summary

The Department of Comprehensive Dentistry at the Texas A&M University College of Dentistry invites applications for one full time 100% FTE academic professional track (non-tenure) faculty position with an 11-month appointment beginning Spring 2026 or negotiable. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Clinical Assistant Professor Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor; rank commensurate on review of qualifications. Faculty responsibilities include:

Clinical Coordination & Supervision: Coordinate clinical activities and supervise patient care to ensure excellence in service delivery and adherence to institutional standards.

  • Instruction & Course Leadership: Serve as instructor and/or course director for pre-doctoral courses contributing to curriculum design and implementation.
  • Evidence-Based Teaching: Develop and deliver lectures that are grounded in current scientific evidence and best practices in dentistry.
  • Simulation & Laboratory Instruction: Teach in simulation clinics and laboratory settings supporting students in developing foundational clinical competencies.
  • Clinical Education: Provide direct clinical instruction and mentorship during patient care guiding students through procedures and decision-making.
  • Student Evaluation & Support: Assess students professionalism clinical progress and performance; offer regular academic and career counseling to foster growth and success.
  • Departmental Engagement: Participate in departmental initiatives including committee service faculty meetings and collaborative academic activities

Interested individuals should have a strong commitment to teaching and service. The opportunity for extramural private practice is available. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the selected applicant.



Candidate must have a DDS DMD or equivalent degree (e.g. BDS) from a U.S. or recognized dental school and be eligible for licensure in Texas. Candidate must have experience in all fields of general dentistry have strong clinical skills a strong background in clinical practice and be familiar with current dental technologies.

All final candidates will be required to successfully pass a criminial background check prior to beginning employment.
