About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular part-timeDonor Centre Representative to join our dynamic Collections team in our BC-Vancouver-Downtown BC-Vancouver-Oak Stdonor centre.

The Collections teamis responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by collecting donor blood and blood products in a safe manner to provide patients with lifesaving products every this role you will beproviding excellent customer service by greeting donors confirming and rebooking appointments and responding to questions.

Formula for success

  • Create an outstanding donor experience by leveraging your strong communication and client service skills to foster a welcoming environment and encourage continued donations.
  • Work collaboratively in a diverse team setting using your flexibility and interpersonal skills to ensure smooth and successful donor centre events.
  • Keep operations running seamlessly by preparing workstations setting up computers and printers printing schedules and updating the online booking system as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement by sharing your knowledge and supporting best practices that enhance processes and elevate the donor experience.
  • At mobile events within our communities you will assist in setting up booths tables and other equipment to ensure donor clinics are properly set up for use.

Desired education and skills

  • Completion of high school.
  • One year of experience in a hospitality or customer service-oriented environment orprevious experience working with volunteers would be considered an asset.
  • Technical skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook and the ability to learn new systems and programs.
  • Ability to type 35 wpm.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language is an asset and enhances the quality of donor interactions.

What you can expect

  • Position works at the Downtown Dunsmuir and Vancouver Mobiles. Works Dunsmuir location every Monday/Tuesday 0745-1545 and Vancouver Mobiles every Friday 1145-1945 and every Saturday 0945-1745. Rest days are Wednesday/Thursday. Transportation will be provided to Vancouver Mobile sites mustering out of Oak Center located at 4750 Oak Street.
