The successful candidate will be responsible for the design testing commissioning and maintenance of power system protection schemes to ensure system reliability safety and compliance with industry standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power Protection Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design testing commissioning and maintenance of power system protection schemes to ensure system reliability safety and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop protection schemes for MV and HV power systems
Perform protection coordination studies and relay settings calculations
Configure and test protection relays (e.g. Siemens ABB Schneider GE)
Conduct fault analysis and power system studies using software such as ETAP DigSILENT or PowerFactory
Commission protection systems on-site and perform troubleshooting
Review single-line diagrams protection logic diagrams and schematics
Ensure compliance with IEC IEEE and local regulatory standards
Provide technical support during project execution and maintenance phases

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
3 years of experience in power system protection and control
Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems and protection principles
Experience with relay testing equipment
Proficiency in power system analysis software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel to project sites when required
Professional registration (or working toward it) is an advantage
