Job Description
Manage and review engagement and other commercial agreements.
Provide timely and pro-active legal advice.
Draft and negotiate engagement documentation with clients.
Advice to service lines on legal and regulatory risks associated with engagements.
Develop and maintain standard templates.
Work closely with Compliance team to ensure compliance with new laws and regulations.
Provide legal advice to management and functional teams.
Provide legal advice and support on employment and partnership related issue.
Job Conditions
5 years of post-qualification legal experience ideally including both international law firm and in-house experience with an international financial services organization.
Strong legal skills (drafting and analytical).
Ability to analyze complex legal problems and develop suitable solutions.
Strong commercial awareness understanding of business corporate governance and regulatory issues.
Fluency in both English and Chinese.
Familiarity with financial and audit services regulatory matters company law employment law intellectual property and cross-border issues.
Strong project management skills with ability to execute multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Understanding of when issues need to be reported or escalated.
Flexible team player strategic thinker solutions-oriented problem solver.
Must be qualified as an attorney through the national bar examination.
