A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced NICU Manager to oversee a high-acuity Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit within a 360 bed multi-specialty hospital in Austin TX.

This leadership role is ideal for a proven neonatal nurse leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care driving operational excellence and mentoring clinical teams in a high-volume childrens hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily NICU operations staffing and evidence-based patient care delivery
Manage admissions discharges and interdisciplinary coordination
Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to accreditation standards
Implement initiatives to enhance patient safety quality outcomes and staff accountability
Drive patient experience excellence through feedback analysis and service recovery
Lead staff development scheduling education and performance management
Manage departmental budgets productivity and cost control
Ensure proper equipment maintenance and operational readiness
Qualifications
BSN required; MSN preferred
35 years of acute care experience
Minimum 2 years in a NICU supervisory or charge nurse role
Current Texas RN license (or Compact eligible; TX license required within 6 months)
AHA BLS required; ACLS and/or NRP preferred
Specialty certification required within 6 months of hire
Strong Charge Nurse/CNN NICU candidates will be considered
