About this Position
This position will be located in Oklahoma City Oklahoma.
The Project Manager will assist with managing the states Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility (Flex) Program providing leadership technical assistance and coordination to strengthen rural health systems Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) and Rural Emergency Hospitals (REHs). The position oversees grant activities developed by the Director and Assistant Director of the Oklahoma Office of Rural Health facilitates statewide collaboration among rural hospitals and emergency medical services (EMS) and supports quality improvement financial and operational performance and compliance with federal program goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Bachelors degree in public health health administration health policy nursing business or related field.
- 35 years of experience in health systems rural health hospital operations or program management.
- Experience managing grants budgets and performance reporting.
Skills Proficiencies and/or Knowledge:
- Demonstrated knowledge of rural healthcare issues CAH operations and quality improvement.
- Strong project management organization and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office survey tools and data management systems.
- Ability to travel to rural sites and statewide meetings as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters
- Masters degree in public health health administration or related discipline.
- Experience working within a State Office of Rural Health CAH or other rural healthcare settings.
Skills Proficiencies and/or Knowledge:
- Familiarity with HRSA Flex Program requirements SHIP grants and hospital quality reporting systems.
- Skills in data analytics evaluation and performance improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma PDSA).
