As a Senior Subcontracts Administrator youll lead the endtoend administration of key subcontractshelping ensure our projects are executed safely ethically on schedule and to the highest standards. Your work will enable our customers to deliver critical industrial facilities while we accelerate the transition to more sustainable energy.
Purpose of the role
In this role youll manage one or more highvalue subcontracts from strategy through closeout. Youll identify and qualify reliable subcontractors negotiate commercial and contractual terms administer performance and ensure full compliance with company project and regulatory requirements. Youll collaborate across functions and provide senior guidance to protect scope cost quality and schedule throughout the project lifecycle.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and execute subcontracting strategies aligned to scope schedule budget and HSE requirements.
- Identify prequalify and select subcontractors for consulting specialty and construction services.
- Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP processes evaluate proposals conduct negotiations and recommend awards.
- Draft issue and administer subcontracts amendments and change orders in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Monitor subcontractor performance (HSE quality schedule cost); resolve issues and drive corrective actions.
- Review validate and approve invoices with required supporting documentation; ensure accurate accruals and contract closeout.
- Maintain complete auditable subcontract files and contract registers.
- Coordinate closely with Project Management Engineering Construction Quality HSE Finance and Legal.
- Provide seniorlevel guidance to team members and contribute to crossfunctional collaboration.
- Visit subcontractor facilities and jobsites as needed to support performance reviews and progress verification.
- Promote ethical sourcing supplier diversity and continuous improvement across processes and tools.
Skills & experience
- 7 years of relevant experience in subcontracts administration/procurement within engineering and construction (industrial facilities preferred).
- Strong knowledge of subcontracting processes commercial terms risk allocation and claim/change management.
- Proficiency with ERP purchasing/subcontracts modules (minimum 2 years handson) and standard office tools.
- Ability to lead negotiations prepare clear contractual documentation and ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
- Proven capability to plan own work and supervise others; able to lead functional project teams.
- Excellent communication skillsable to inform and persuade on complex matters through proposals presentations and reports.
- Problemsolving mindset; able to troubleshoot systems processes and tool issues and assist others.
- Degree in Engineering Business Supply Chain or related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
- English: basic proficiency (reading writing technical communication). Higher proficiency is welcome.
- MUST: Reside in Veracruz (Puerto) Mexico with the ability to work on site and travel locally as required.
