Role Overview
Maintain and enhance high-availability Train Control and SCADA infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability and security of real-time transportation systems through expert network administration and systems engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- System Availability: Ensure 24/7 uptime for critical SCADA facilities and fault-tolerant communication networks.
- Infrastructure Management: Administer configure and upgrade RedHat Linux and Windows-based servers and workstations.
- Network Operations: Manage and troubleshoot routers switches and firewalls to maintain a secure robust perimeter.
- Lifecycle & Security: Lead hardware/software upgrades and implement rigorous network security policies.
- Documentation & Support: Maintain technical diagrams and participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency response.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 7 years supporting SCADA or real-time control systems.
- OS Expertise: Advanced administration of RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server.
- Networking: Deep knowledge of routers switches firewalls and high-availability design.
- Security: Strong understanding of network security protocols and best practices.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications: Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) and CompTIA (Network/Security).
- Domain Knowledge: Experience with railroad signaling transportation systems or large-scale utility operations.
