Project Manager Land Development
Type: Full-Time Hybrid Calgary AB
Our client a well-established consulting firm with a strong reputation in land development and municipal infrastructure is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing Calgary team. Known for delivering practical high-quality solutions this organization partners with developers municipalities and contractors to bring complex projects from concept through construction.
This is a key role supporting the planning design and delivery of diverse land development projects while collaborating closely with clients consultants and regulatory authorities.
The Opportunity
This position plays a critical role in managing municipal servicing and land development projects across multiple phases. You will oversee technical coordination maintain project budgets and timelines and ensure regulatory approvals are achieved while supporting a collaborative engineering team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage land development and municipal servicing projects from preliminary design through detailed engineering and construction support
- Coordinate internal technical teams subconsultants and stakeholders to maintain schedules and meet project objectives
- Review engineering reports servicing studies and design drawings to ensure technical accuracy and quality standards
- Maintain responsibility for project scope budgets timelines and client expectations
- Work closely with clients municipal staff and contractors to resolve technical challenges efficiently
- Support proposal preparation technical submissions and project planning initiatives
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients consultants and regulatory authorities
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 10 years of civil engineering experience with strong exposure to land development and municipal infrastructure projects
- Registered or eligible for immediate registration as a Professional Engineer (.) with APEGA
- Strong understanding of municipal engineering design including underground utilities stormwater management grading and transportation systems
- Experience providing construction-phase services and contract administration
- Familiarity with Edmonton-area municipal approval processes and standards
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication leadership and organizational skills
