This positions primary responsibility is to analyze provide support and ensure compliance with specialized account arrangements regulations and other complex services administered by the Operations Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specialized accounts subpoenas levies garnishments overdraft dormancy unclaimed property tax reporting and other services as assigned.
- Provide team members with support for complex account arrangements guidance on required documentation and the appropriate account set up instructions for applicable systems.
- Review documentation associated with specialized account arrangements to ensure compliance with regulations legal requirements and our field of membership.
- Develop and maintain regular reporting to ensure the Credit Union is properly monitoring specialized accounts as required.
- Research document and provide response support for member complaints associated with Operations processes.
- Complete first line of defense audits and support the audit program for Operations.
- Responsible for working with the Training Department for development and implementation of training materials and resources for team members.
- Review and maintain annual account related tax reporting processes for the Credit Union.
- Help coordinate and support process improvement projects for Operations processing teams.
- Assist with implementation of new regulatory rules and guidelines issued by the agencies applicable to Operations with support from the Risk Management Department.
- Analyze business needs make recommendations and implement approved changes to create efficiencies for Operations processes.
- Update and review Credit Union policies and procedures based on management requests regulatory changes legal reviews internal audits and examinations by regulatory agencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Operations or Compliance related roles. Should have a strong knowledge of regulations and specialized account practices. Knowledge of risk management practices and the ability to assess and document risk as applicable with processes policies and procedures. Ability to work with and communicate with all Credit Union personnel in the various departments. Ability to always maintain confidentiality of Credit Union and member records.
Performance Standard:
A demonstrated cooperative and positive attitude toward members and other Credit Union staff. Accurate in balancing and account research. Be able to diagnose problems. Professional in appearance attendance quality and quantity of work performed. Ability to work without supervision. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by ICCU.
Physical Requirements:
- Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork filing stapling sorting collating typing counting cash etc.).
- Sit for extended periods of time.
- Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper cash drawers marketing material etc.
- Repetitive motion using wrists hands and fingers.
- Reach keyboards.
- Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator computer telephone copy machine fax machine etc.).
