Job Summary

Skills & experience

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture or related discipline.
  • 812 years of experience in industrial architecture with a significant focus on offshore environments.
  • Offshore project experience is mandatory (MUST).
  • Strong experience designing control rooms technical spaces and offshore accommodation.
  • Deep understanding of:
    Offshore architectural design criteria
    Fire & Blast requirements
    Habitability standards (IMO / SOLAS)
    Acoustics vibration isolation and environmental control
    Hazardous area classification
  • Experience in EPC/EPCIC project environments.
  • Ability to prepare and validate architectural specifications data sheets calculations and technical documentation.
  • Strong multidisciplinary coordination capabilities and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Advanced technical judgment and ability to make informed decisions on complex architectural matters.
  • Fluent English required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and interface design within AVEVA E3D or SP3D; experience with Revit and Navisworks is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills capable of informing and persuading on complex technical issues.
  • Experienced in supervising reviewing and guiding architectural teams.

As a Senior Architect (Offshore) youll bring advanced architectural expertise to the design of control rooms technical areas living quarters and critical spaces that support safe reliable and efficient offshore operations. Your work will help ensure that every environmentoperational or habitableis engineered for resilience safety and longterm offshore performance.

Purpose of the role

In this role youll lead the architectural design of specialized offshore environments applying advanced knowledge of marine requirements safety standards and environmental conditions. Youll collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to create integrated functional and compliant offshore spaces ensuring habitability operational efficiency and safety in some of the most demanding environments in the industry.

Core responsibilities

  • Lead the architectural design of offshore facilities including:
    Central Control Rooms (CCR / LCR / ECR)
    Electrical and instrumentation rooms
    Telecommunications rooms
    Technical rooms and server spaces
    Accommodation areas (living quarters galley mess offices)
  • Develop architectural layouts focused on operational ergonomics visibility lines evacuation routes access control and hazardous area separation.
  • Apply offshore design criteria including fire & blast protection acoustic and vibration isolation presurization and environmental control.
  • Select and specify offshore architectural components such as certified panels firerated and blastrated doors windows finishes suspended ceilings and raised floors.
  • Prepare IFC architectural drawings construction details and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate closely with Process Structural Piping Electrical & Instrumentation and Safety/Loss Prevention to ensure integration and consistency.
  • Participate in HAZID HAZOP and SIL design reviews for architectural interfaces.
  • Ensure compliance with international offshore standards (ISO 11064 IEC ISO API ASME AMPP NFPA DNV/ABS) habitability standards (IMO/SOLAS) and applicable local regulations.
  • Provide design oversight quality reviews and mentorship to junior and intermediate architects.
  • Support construction fabrication and offshore installation phases responding to technical queries and validating implementation.
