Summary

The Centre Assistant is crucial in maintaining a safe clean and welcoming environment at Stonecroft Nursery. This role supports staff and children by performing domestic cleaning kitchen and general childcare assistance duties. The position directly contributes to the welfare safety and daily operations of the nursery.

Responsibilities

Vacuum carpets and clean floors work surfaces toys furniture and window shelves.
Empty waste bins mop spillages and wash floors as needed.
Clean toilets basins fixtures potties and maintain hygiene supplies.
Clean sinks and maintain domestic equipment reporting defects promptly.
Check stock of cleaning materials and store equipment safely after use.
Report any health and safety hazards to the Nursery Manager.

Essential Experience Required

Experience working with children aged 05.
Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Experience supporting children with special educational needs.
Ability to work collaboratively with parents and professionals.

Essential Qualifications Required

Recognised childcare or Early Years qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2).

Additional Information

Working hours: 36 hours per week
The role requires a DBS check.
