Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
Safely handle and move healthcare risk waste containers boxes and bags throughout the plant.
Load and offload waste from collection vehicles and transfer it to the designated treatment area.
Assist in the operation of autoclaves shredders or other waste treatment machinery.
Sort weigh and label waste according to type and treatment requirement.
Maintain a clean and hygienic work area including waste processing zones equipment and vehicles.
Adhere strictly to company protocols for infection control environmental protection and health & safety compliance.
Ensure correct use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
Report any unsafe conditions equipment faults or incidents immediately to the supervisor.
Support the plants recycling and recovery initiatives by segregating waste and minimising landfill disposal.
Participate in safety drills training and toolbox talks.
Assist during the plants waste sterilisation shredding and destruction processes as required.
Record daily waste movements and assist with basic administrative tasks when needed.
