Digital Marketing Assistant (Chinese-Language Market) Summer Student Internship (MayAugust)

Hours: Approximately 30 hours per month
Wage: $21 per hour
Term: May 1 2026 August 31 2026
In order to qualify for this funded internship a commitment to participate in the position must be submitted by February 23 2026 or until the funding quota is exhausted.
Position Overview
We are a recruitment and training agency hiring Digital Marketing Assistants on behalf of our partner employers. These roles support digital marketing initiatives targeting Chinese-speaking audiences and provide hands-on experience across multiple digital platforms.
This position is part of a funded student internship program designed to provide structured industry training. Successful candidates will be placed with partner employers and will participate in an employer-designated industrial training program throughout the employment period. Training program fees will be reimbursed in the form of salary.
This position is remote and students may work from home with flexible hours.
Requirements
Eligibility Requirements (Funding Program Requirement)
This position is funded through a student employment program. Applicants must meet the program eligibility criteria including:
Be currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution (college or university)
Be legally entitled to work in Canada
Be a Canadian citizen permanent resident or person with refugee/protected status in British Columbia
Be eligible to participate in a funded internship or training program
Be willing to enroll in and complete the employer-designated industrial training program during the employment period
Be able to submit a commitment to participate by February 23 2026 or before funding quota is exhausted
Key Responsibilities
Duties may vary slightly depending on the partner employer but typically include:
Create and manage Chinese-language digital marketing content
Operate and maintain social media accounts including:
Assist with social media campaign planning and execution for Chinese-speaking markets
Translate and localize marketing materials between English and Chinese
Support basic website content maintenance and updates (text images blog posts product or service pages)
Assist with email marketing and online promotions
Conduct basic market research and track marketing performance metrics
Provide general digital marketing and administrative support as assigned by partner employers
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary college or university program (Marketing Business Communications Media or related field preferred)
Ability to read and write Chinese (Mandarin required; Cantonese an asset)
Interest in digital marketing and social media platforms
Strong written communication skills
Organized responsible and eager to learn
Comfortable using common digital tools (e.g. Canva Google Workspace website CMS social media platforms)
