As an Assistant Video Editor you will work closely with our team of editors and producers to create compelling video content for our clients. You will be responsible for assisting with the editing process including organizing and logging footage creating rough cuts and adding graphics and effects. You will also be involved in reviewing and providing feedback on final edits.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro and a keen eye for detail. You should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and log footage for video projects
- Create rough cuts based on client briefs and feedback from editors
- Add graphics and effects to enhance the final video
- Provide feedback and suggestions on final edits
- Collaborate with editors producers and other team members to meet project deadlines
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve editing skills
- Assist with other video production tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in film media production or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in video editing
- Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro
- Strong understanding of video formats codecs and exporting processes
- Knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects is a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines
- Creative and detail-oriented mindset
- A portfolio or demo reel showcasing your editing skills is required
