Job Summary

This is a remote position

We are currently looking for freelance translators/post-editors (MTPE):

Language combinations:

English (US) to Swahili(SW)

Specializations:

Human Resources Healthcare Technical -specificknowledge >US market

Requirements

We must ensure we have reliable and experienced translators then applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

a) have obtained a degree in translation linguistics or language studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training from a recognized institution of higher education;
b) have obtained a degree in any other field from a recognized institution of higher education and has the equivalent of two years of full-time professional experience in translating;
c) have the equivalent of five years of full-time professional experience in translating.

CAT experience

For MT Post-editing:
Other requirements

Experience in Post-editing Machine Translation.
Knowledge of MT and LLM technologies
CAT experience (memoQ).

Skills:

Experience in evaluating Post-edited material:

Post-editing Quality: fluency naturalness accuracy and coherence
RAW MT output evaluation: Post-editing length and time Error type identification and similar
