Recovery focused support begins with people and is sustained through strong values led practice. The Team Leader Psychosocial Recovery Coach (TL PRC) provides practice-based leadership that shapes how psychosocial recovery support is delivered for people accessing mental health supports and the practitioners who work alongside them.
By guiding and mentoring Psychosocial Recovery Coaches the role strengthens quality confidence and consistency in recovery coaching practice. Working closely with frontline staff the Team Leader supports sound decision making in complex situations promotes reflective practice and helps teams navigate the realities of mental health work ensuring person centred recovery outcomes remain at the heart of everyday practice.
Your day will include:
  • Providing psychosocial recovery coaching to people accessing NDIS mental health supports while maintaining an agreed caseload
  • Building and sustaining trusted relationships that support choice self-determination wellbeing and participation
  • Providing day to day practice guidance general supervision and mentoring to Psychosocial Recovery Coaches
  • Acting as a first point of escalation for practice related questions complexity and emerging risk supporting sound judgement
  • Completing and overseeing high quality documentation reflective practice and consistent application of recovery principles and NDIS Practice Standards

You Will Need:

  • Cert IV in Mental Health Peer Work and/or significant relevant peer work experience; or
  • Cert IV in Mental Health Community Services or related field and significant relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in mental health recovery principles motivational interviewing and strengths-based approaches within community based or psychosocial support settings
  • Experience providing informal leadership mentoring or practice guidance to colleagues in a mental health or human services environment
  • Strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills including the ability to collaborate respectfully and complete accurate documentation
  • Sound judgement professionalism and the ability to respond constructively to complexity boundaries and emerging risk
