JOB SUMMARY:

As a Field Service Technician Rapid Response provider. Youll be at the heart of providing immediate on-site support for urgent equipment issues to minimize customer downtime. Youll use your skills and experience to deliver top-tier service that keeps our customers moving. You will work in the field from a service pickup truck servicing and performing:

Immediate on-site support for equipment breakdowns or urgent service needs to reduce downtime.
Focus on fast diagnostics and temporary repairs that allow machines to keep operating until full repairs can be scheduled.
Electronic and hydraulic system checks.
Quick faultcode analysis using Product Link Service Link Cat ET CAT Inspect CAT Interact and related tools.
ECM flash updates and configuration adjustments.
Installation and setup of Product Link or other telematics hardware
Provide immediate status updates and recommendations.
Performing Safety Service Letters when applicable
Escalate major repairs to the shop or full field service teams when necessary
Adhere to all safety procedures guidelines and best practices

COMPETENCIES:

Proficient reading and writing skills
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
Experienced in computer literacy
In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar equipment applications operations and functions
Skilled in using Caterpillar diagnostic tools (Electronic Technician Service Information System)
Expertise in diagnostic testing adjustment and troubleshooting procedures
Welding experience is a plus

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED is required along with completion of a technical school program (minimum 2 years) focused on diesel or power equipment systems plus at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on mechanical repair experience with diesel earthmoving or industrial equipment
Must have a valid drivers license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling
Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs standing sitting and climbing into machines
Dexterity Normal
Repetitive Motions: Frequent movement requiring hands wrists and fingers
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
