The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) under the general direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) will implement treatment plans for children with autism and other related disorders. They will maintain regular communication with their supervising BCBA and team. The job description outlines essential functions but is not exhaustive and may change at the discretion of Mercy Kids Autism Therapy Services and Mercy Kids Autism Center.

Position Details:

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in psychology education applied behavior analysis speech and hearing services child and human development or related field OR Associates degree in psychology education applied behavior analysis speech and hearing services child and human development or related field and 2 years of related experience OR High school diploma/GED and 4 years of related experience.

Certification: Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or obtain certification within 90 days of start date. If obtaining a RBT certification within 90-days of start date must complete and obtain completion certificate for Autism Partnerships 40-hour RBT Training Course prior to start date.

Experience: Foundational knowledge of child development and applied behavior analysis (ABA) and at least 1 year of experience with individuals with disabilities and/or children.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Pursuing a masters degree in ABA.

Experience: Skilled in utilizing de-escalation strategies with patients has experience with Verbal Behavior and Natural Environment Teaching is proficient with online data collection systems.


Physical Requirements:
Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of positions and postures (kneeling squatting crawling sitting standing pushing pulling squatting twisting turning bending stooping reaching overhead) for extended periods of time.
Must be willing and able to implement crisis intervention strategies for patients after training.
Must be able to utilize quick body movements while working with patients.
Ability to lift or move approximately 50 lbs.
