Job Summary
Job Title: Dock Door Technician
Pay: $28 $35 per hour
Location: Loudon TN
Shift: Monday Friday 1st Shift
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dock Technician to support commercial and industrial facility operations in Loudon TN. This role is responsible for completing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on dock equipment and related building systems in a safe efficient and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance and routine system inspections (shift rounds)
Service and repair dock equipment including dock levelers seals bumpers and dock locks
Maintain and repair commercial doors (automatic hollow metal overhead) and door hardware
Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Replace belts hoses filters fluids and other consumable components
Perform minor plumbing electrical carpentry patching and painting repairs
Clean lubricate and maintain facility machinery and building systems
Accurately document work performed in a CMMS system
Communicate effectively with team members and site contacts
Follow OSHA regulations lock-out/tag-out procedures and all safety guidelines
Operate forklifts scissor lifts and aerial lifts as required
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 1 year experience servicing commercial dock levelers doors and related hardware
Experience maintaining pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems
Strong mechanical aptitude including basic plumbing electrical and carpentry skills
Ability to safely use hand and power tools
Comfortable using computers tablets and email systems
Valid drivers license required
Ability to work independently manage priorities and adapt to changing demands
Preferred qualifications include experience with automatic door systems and relevant industry certifications.
