Our client a well-established leader in the Generator Sets industry is seeking the services of a professional Operations Manager to join their Johannesburg branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining a high service standard to all internal and external customers during the execution of orders for products projects after-sales and diesel services. The organisation offers a stable environment with opportunity for growth within a structured operational framework.
In order to be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
Minimum 5 years experience in diesel generator manufacturing installation and services
Minimum 3 years experience in Operations or Production management
N3 Electrical minimum qualification
Qualified Electrician with LV experience up to 690V AC including synchronisation applications
Knowledge of fuel systems and fuel storage regulations
Valid Code C1 drivers licence
Willingness to travel extensively including cross-border travel
Computer literacy with MS Office proficiency
SAP (ERP) and MS Projects experience will be advantageous
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
Managing Production Technical Services Installation and Diesel Services teams
Increasing services sales revenue and identifying new service-based revenue streams
Reporting on operational costs and sales performance
Coordinating and implementing SHEQ initiatives in conjunction with the Group SHEQ Manager
Managing warranty claims and workshop modification functions
Overseeing warehousing stock control and distribution processes
Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety requirements for production facilities
Managing operational aspects of projects to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery
Scheduling workshop testing and Factory Acceptance Tests
Managing procurement processes and supplier purchase orders
Compiling KPI consolidated reports and monthly services revenue reports
Supporting technical departments and mentoring technical staff
