The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join our Finance Team within the Fund Accounting function. This is a critical senior role with endtoend responsibility for the daily operations financial reporting and governance of 15 Netwealth Managed Investment Scheme (MIS) Funds and 2 Managed Account Schemes.

You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy integrity and timeliness of unit pricing financial reporting distributions and statutory accounts while also providing mentorship to Fund Accountants and driving continuous improvement across fund accounting processes. The role works closely with Fund Operations Product and other internal stakeholders to support Netwealths growing suite of investment products.

Key Responsibilities include;

  • Reviewing daily unit pricing calculations for the 15 Netwealth MIS Funds ensuring accuracy and escalating queries to relevant internal teams

  • Reviewing monthend accounts and maintaining accurate and complete investment registers for all funds

  • Reviewing monthly quarterly and annual distribution calculations for MIS Funds and preparing Managed Account quarterly financial and regulatory reporting

  • Taking ownership of the preparation and review of yearend financial statements for 15 Netwealth MIS Funds and 2 Managed Account Schemes including managing and responding to audit queries

  • Monitoring fund performance expenses accruals and fee calculations (including management and performance fees)

  • Coordinating annual PDS reviews in collaboration with the Product team

  • Providing coaching guidance and daytoday support to Fund Accountants within the team

  • Maintaining uptodate procedures and identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation

  • Supporting the Fund Operations team and contributing to ad hoc projects and crossfunctional initiatives

About you

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Fund Accountant who takes pride in accuracy ownership and continuous improvement. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment mentoring others and taking accountability for complex fund structures and reporting requirements.

You will bring strong technical fund accounting expertise excellent attention to detail and a curious mindset that drives you to deeply understand Netwealths products systems and processes.

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting Commerce or a related discipline

  • CA or CPA qualification

  • 5 years experience in fund accounting ideally with exposure to fund manager or platformbased environments

  • Strong endtoend knowledge of unit pricing distributions financial reporting and audit processes for managed funds and managed accounts

  • Advanced Excel capability with confidence working in manual calculation and review environments

  • Highly developed analytical and problemsolving skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills enabling effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and auditors

  • A proactive selfdriven approach with a strong work ethic and commitment to highquality outcomes

  • Demonstrated interest in improving processes increasing efficiency and enhancing controls

  • A positive collaborative and professional approach with the ability to coach and support junior team members
