Halls Cold Chain Logistics is a leader in temperature-controlled transport across NewZealand and were looking for a skilled Logistics & Fleet Lead South Island to join our Christchurch team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a pivotal role ensuring our fleet runs safely efficiently and reliably within the Halls network.
About the Role
As the Logistics & Fleet Lead South Island at Halls you will take ownership of managing our Christchurch-based fleet and shared long-haul units. Youll work closely with Dispatch our National Fleet team service providers and local suppliers to keep our vehicles compliant well-maintained and ready for service.
You will be the go-to fleet expert at Halls within the South Island guiding operational decisions supporting the team with your vehicle knowledge and ensuring our equipment is always fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all servicing COFs and legal compliance requirements across the Halls fleet.
- Work collaboratively with Dispatch to schedule maintenance and repairs while maintaining fleet availability.
- Understand fleet configuration and run requirements to provide operational guidance and replacement options during downtime.
- Lead with technical knowledge of vehicle combinations permits operational usage and fridge motors.
- Partner with service providers to ensure timely and highquality maintenance outcomes.
- Manage repair and maintenance costs across the fleet.
- Coordinate with the National Fleet team and branch leaders to meet equipment needs.
- Transport vehicles to and from local suppliers as required.
Qualifications :
What Youll Bring
- Possess a Class 5 licence mandatory
- Strong general automotive and mechanical knowledge
- Understanding of fridge motors (advantageous)
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365
- A proactive organised and solutionsfocused mindset
- The ability to be adaptable flexible and operate under constant time constraints
