Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:The Payment Specialist is responsible for accurately posting insurance payments and adjustments from a diverse payor mix patient payments and other sources into the practice management system. The Payment Specialist must reconcile all assigned ACH payments and lockbox payments to the bank statement before & EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent requiredProficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel preferredQUALIFICATIONS:Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretionUnderstanding medical terminology and insurance billing processesMust be efficient on the keyboardMust maintain accuracy with increased work volumeMust be flexible with overtime and schedule changes to accommodate departmental needsMust have good attendance and punctualityMust be able to get along well with fellow employeesWORK SCHEDULE:Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
