AECOMs Façade engineering team are seeking a talented experienced and technical Senior Façade Engineer to Join our team in London
We are a close core team of 9 façade engineers currently delivering the design of a host of projects in the UK Ireland and further afield in a range of sectors including Healthcare Residential Commercial Transport Sports Mixed Use and Retrofit. Many of these are delivered as part of a multi-discipline AECOM design team in collaboration with our Sustainability Fire Structures MEP Lighting Acoustics Energy Cost and/ or Project Management consultants and specialisms. Our team also delivers work to external clients as a direct appointment.
To be successful in this role you will assume general responsibilities for façade consultancy input to a wide range of clients and projects and will pro-actively contribute to the growth of AECOMs Façade Engineering teams capabilities.
Heres what youll do:
- Implement a holistic engineering approach across projects considering performance buildability and aesthetics.
- Develop façade solutions from concept through to implementation utilising a range of façade systems and materials.
- Share your knowledge with colleagues providing mentorship and technical guidance.
- Work closely with clients the wider design team and the supply chain.
- Carry out and review engineering analyses including thermal structural and embodied carbon assessments.
- Assist with work-winning activities and business development.

Qualifications :

Requirements:
- Degree in Architectural Engineering Building Design or a related discipline (required).
- Proven experience within the façade industry ideally in a dedicated façade consultancy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to be client-facing and produce clear concise technical reports.
- Working knowledge of system design considerations façade performance analysis and testing procedures.
- Proficiency in relevant façade and structural software including Strand7 SJ MEPLA THERM or Flixo AutoCAD and Revit.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and related software packages.
