As IT Category Specialist you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize costs and drive value within the IT category across our global operations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure alignment with business objectives mitigate risks and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
You will also be part of our Global IT Procurement setup working with our IT Procurement professionals in Rambøll Headquarter in Denmark.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Conduct market analysis and supplier assessments to identify potential vendors negotiations and manage vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand IT requirements and provide procurement support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and execute category strategies for Technology procurement activities primarily focused our software portfolio.
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings and optimization within the software procurement process.
- Ensuring that all software purchases comply with company policies legal regulations and geographical locations.
- Lead supplier negotiations to achieve favourable terms and conditions pricing and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Drive cost savings initiatives including demand management consolidation of purchasing volumes and optimization of supplier agreements.
- Stay current on industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in IT procurement incorporating insights into category strategies.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field. MBA or advanced certification (e.g. CSCP CPSM) preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in procurement with a focus on IT Category Management and/or Software Contract Management within a global organization.
- Good negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Deep understanding of IT procurement processes vendor selection negotiations and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships with internal and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with a results-driven mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
