As centre of expertise the International Employment Teamis responsible for the design and run of a future-ready global employment & mobility program that (1) is in line with the company strategy (2) ensures immigration tax payroll and labor law compliance (3) delivers a standout assignee experience and (4) equips leaders with data-driven insights for better decisions.
You as Internation Employment Manager are heading the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain global policies & frameworks (assignments permanent transfers remote cross-border work) benchmarking against market best practices.
- Lead immigration strategy (visas work permits) and tax policy (tax equalization double-taxation/social security coordination) in partnership with external advisors; ensure compliant payroll/shadow payroll execution.
- Establish controls for short-term business visitors and business traveler tracking minimizing PE/compliance risks.
- Ensure adherence to local labor regulations and internal standards across all locations fostering a culture of trust and collaboration.
- Oversee the full lifecycle (pre-assignment through repatriation) covering cost projections relocation logistics housing/schooling guidance family support and successful reintegration.
- Serve as executive advisor to the People Team and business leaders on complex cases and policy exceptions.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and partners to deliver high-quality employment solutions and services.
- Monitor and analyze employment trends and best practices to continuously improve the companys global employment strategy.
- Provide guidance and support to HR teams and business leaders on global employment matters.
- Lead and develop the Global Employment & Mobility team; build a high-performing COE with clear roles playbooks and career paths.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of proven experience in global mobility with a focus oninternational taxation expatriation management and payroll.
- Extensive knowledge of global employment laws regulations with a particular emphasis on personal income tax and individual tax matters in Belgium.
- Knowledge of global mobility trends and best practices.
- Experience in developing and implementing global mobility policies and procedures.
Soft skills:
- Excellentcommunication and collaborationskills allowing you to effectively convey information build strong relationships and work with cross-functional teams.
- Strongproject managementabilities enabling you to successfully implement complex projects and initiatives.
- A forward-thinking andproactiveattitude combined with excellentproblem-solving abilitiesand astrategic approach
