Brief Summary
Altera Recruitment Group are supporting a specialist engineering business within the water purification and treatment sector to recruit an experienced Panel Builder for their workshop based team in Kettering. This role focuses on the assembly and wiring of electrical control panels used in process and treatment equipment. It will suit a hands on electrical professional who is confident working from drawings takes pride in build quality and enjoys practical workshop based work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electrical control panels and enclosures in line with technical drawings and specifications
- Carry out point to point wiring terminations and functional checks to ensure build accuracy
- Install components including DIN rail systems trunking glands ferrules and labelled wiring
- Support the integration of panels into packaged plant equipment where required
- Maintain high standards of workmanship quality control and workshop safety
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in panel building control panel wiring or electrical assembly
- Confident reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings
- Strong hands on wiring skills with good attention to detail
- Competent using standard electrical tools and workshop processes
- Reliable safety conscious and able to work effectively as part of a team
