Commissioning Supervisor Renewable Energy
Overview
Our client is a leading energy company specializing in renewable power generation projects. We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Supervisor to join their team for a 12-month contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge substation commissioning projects in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise substation commissioning activities for renewable energy projects
- Oversee electrical construction and commissioning processes following NEC and NFPA standards
- Lead SCADA integration testing and troubleshooting activities
- Supervise E&I controls and instrumentation installation startup and troubleshooting
- Implement and troubleshoot protection and control systems
- Conduct drawing review and quality control inspections
- Prepare comprehensive progress reports and documentation
- Manage third-party contractors and suppliers effectively
- Coordinate with engineering and construction teams on technical and schedule issues
- Ensure all safety protocols and quality standards are maintained
Requirements
- 6-10 years of commissioning experience in renewable energy or power generation
- Minimum 5 years of on-site project support for renewable power generation construction startup and commissioning
- Minimum 3 years of EPC experience in renewable power generation projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction and commissioning methods
- Expertise in NEC and NFPA standards
- Experience with SCADA systems integration and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in protection and controls implementation
- Advanced computer skills: Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint PDF editing document control systems
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with technical and construction teams
- Self-starter with strong focus on quality execution and safety
