Salary: Up to 45.00 per hour (depending on level of experience training and qualification)
We have an opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to join their team of staff in thePhysiotherapydepartment.
This is a bank role working on an as and when required basis you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties of this role include:
- Conduct detailed assessments of speech language communication and swallowing functions using a variety of clinical tools and techniques.
- Develop and deliver evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient goals including communication therapy voice therapy and dysphagia management.
- Collaborate with medical teams nursing staff dietitians physiotherapists occupational therapists and psychologists to deliver coordinated patient-centred care.
- Participate in ward rounds case conferences and discharge planning providing specialist input and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in line with HCPC RCSLT and organisational policies.
- Adhere to infection prevention safeguarding health and safety and data protection regulations.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- BSc (Hons) or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Strong clinical reasoning communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with communication and/or swallowing disorders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
