Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result - driven Project Manager to lead the large-scale construction projects within the steel Industry.
The Ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles for industrial construction with a strong focus on safety quality budget control and timely delivery. This role requires close coordination with engineering procurement contractors and stakeholders to ensure successful execution of complex projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the planning execution and delivery of steel plant and DRI construction projects from concept to commissioning
- Develop project scopes budgets schedules and resource plans aligned with business objective
- Oversee engineering procurement construction (EPC) activities and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Manage project risks identify mitigation strategies and resolve issues proactively
- Monitor project progress costs and timelines ensuring adherence to budget and schedule
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering procurement contractors and vendors
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations environmental standards and company policies
- Conduct regular site inspections and project review meetings
- Manage contracts change orders and claims with contractors and suppliers
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement and best practices in project execution.
Skills and Qualifications- 15 years of experience in project management within the steel industry including DRI projects.
- Proven experience in project construction for steel plants DRI units or large industrial projects
- Strong understanding of EPC project delivery models
- Strong knowledge of steel manufacturing processes and DRI technologies.
- Expertise in construction management project planning and cost control.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings specifications and construction methodologies.
- Strong familiarity with project management tools and reporting systems.
Education- Bachelors degree in Mechanical /Civil Engineering orrelated field.
Physical RequirementsSalary- $120000 - $150000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
